Doug joined New Directions Search in 1990. Executive search is a strong match for his personality, interests and talents. He enjoys the highly competitive challenges of search at the senior levels, including the intellectual opportunity to engage senior business leaders. Over the course of his career, Doug has developed strong professional networks in finance, operations and general management. He is both creative, competitive and tenacious. He utilizes a structured and systematic approach to search.

     Doug enjoys the rigor and grind of the hunt, the intellectual challenge of assessing senior executives and the ultimate resolution of the dissonance between opportunity, fit and rewards and the remaining complexities of successful living. His work reflects a strong commitment to integrity and excellence and finding the best possible talent for our clients.

     Doug has an undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and a masters degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Outside of work, Doug has a variety of interests, including an enduring fascination with NBA basketball.
